The Journey Starts today--- 3 miles ran for 3 Fallen Doves

What better day to start an intense running program than today. I have been running for several years now, but over the past year I have been dealing with several injuries that have caused me to slow down.. I have switched to more of a weight lifting program and have packed on a lot of solid mass..240lbs to be exact. This is way to much weight for me to be handling everyday. So as I began to heal.. my physical Therapist has given me the ok to start running again.

As I set out on my quest to remember the Fallen doves who have been killed on 911... I am trying to stay focused on my task to complete this journey... The outcome that I want to achieve is that we never forget... 9-11 should not be a day where it comes and goes. Yes.... as Americans we will not live our lives grieving everyday.... but we need to remember the sacrifices that so many women and men have made because of this day. I hope by running 1 Mile for each Fallen Dove and Fallen Eagle I will continue to bring awareness not to the sadness that we as Americans felt on this day.... but rather our stern determination to keep pushing forward one step at a time, regardless of the odds. We may not be the smartest group of folk or the most polished of individuals... We may fall behind in areas of education in comparison to the rest of the world and may be slow to understand why things happen they way they do....but there is something that is driving force of who we are that can not be talked about in books or or painted on a canvas.... it's in the spirit of our soldiers who run toward gun fire and in the eyes of first responders willing to risk their lives to save another... this thing has no name for if it did it would easily be destroyed. It is what screams through the soul of every American Born on this land and It is so powerful it inspires people from all over the world to be enveloped by it. It unmistakeably is the very thing we identify with as being American. May we never forget the fallen.

David Angell

Mile 2

David L. Angell piled up Emmy Awards for his work on shows like "Cheers," "Wings" and "Frasier," but he was known for keeping his heart firmly on Cape Cod and for his closeness to his wife. "Lynn supported him for five years while he wrote and looked for a break," said Sally Reeder, a friend. "They used to say they had one suitcase packed and were ready to return to New England when he finally caught on."

Lynn Edwards Angell

Mile 1
John Hitchcock was surprised when Lynn Edwards Angell walked into his office at Hillsides School, a Pasadena, Calif., home for abused and emotionally disturbed children, and described herself as a "retired librarian" willing to do the volunteer library work he had advertised. "She seemed awfully young to be retired,"
